pkgsrc is a framework for building and managing open-source software. Its binary front end, pkgin, resolves dependencies so operators can search, install, update, and remove packages with a familiar command set.
Need a different compile flag or package option? Build directly from source. Need software that does not exist yet? Start with a package Makefile and contribute it upstream.
